On July 1, Hartford's business, civic, and community leaders gathered at the Hartford Applied AI Center for Accelerate Hartford: The Future of Business Forum. Attendees discussed the future of the city as part of Hartford’s Long Weekend, a multi-day festival celebrating America 250.
Hosted by the MetroHartford Alliance, the City of Hartford, Leadership Greater Hartford, and the Hartford Business Journal, attendees explored Hartford’s current momentum and collaboratively envisioned what the city could become over the next 250 years. Four tables worked through three topics:
Hartford as a Destination: How do we create a vibrant, attractive, and thriving city where people feel drawn to visit and host events?
Talent and Workforce Development: How can Hartford attract, develop, and retain the talent needed for future success?
Community, Culture, and Quality of Life: How do we ensure Hartford remains a place where people feel connected, included, and proud to call home?

The event culminated in these discussions being converted into AI-generated images, showing a proposed timeline of Hartford's skyline as these topics were realized.
