500 Kids Need Coats to Keep Warm

Village #FeelTheLove campaign to provide children with desperately needed winter gear

February 14, 2024 | Hartford, Conn. The Village for Families & Children is calling on the community to contribute online donations that will help children in Greater Hartford #FeelTheLove with warm winter gear they need by the end of February.Temperatures have been freezing and unpredictable—with this week’s nor’easter and more cold weather on the horizon—and local children need sufficient winter gear to keep warm.

The Village serves nearly 5,000 children each year. Online donations will help provide children with new coats, hats, scarves and mittens—and give a family in need one less thing to worry about. Support in any amount will make a difference. To help, visit thevillage.org/love.
