Make Your Nominations Now for the Health Food, Healthy Community Award
2nd Annual Healthy Food, Healthy Community AwardThe Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation is pleased to partner with NBC30 again this year to offer the Healthy Food, Healthy Community Award, one of many programs we have in place to help build healthier communities. This $5,000 award recognizes the outstanding efforts of Connecticut-based nonprofit organizations in bringing fresh, healthy food to our local communities. The winning organization will be announced in April.Last year’s winner [youtube.com] was the Community Dining Room [communitydiningroom.org]in Branford. This organization serves the community by feeding the hungry and helping with other basic human needs. Last year, their focus shifted to takeout meals and home bound meals due to Covid-19.Applications are available now and being accepted through March 28, 2021. Please consider nominating a worthy nonprofit or simply passing this opportunity along to other interested organizations.
