Windsor Locks, CONN – October 23, 2026 – The Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA) is pleased to announce that United Airlines will launch nonstop service between Bradley International Airport (BDL) and San Francisco International Airport (SFO), providing travelers with convenient access to one of the nation’s leading business, technology, and tourism destinations.
The year-round service will begin on March 28, 2027, and operate daily with a scheduled evening departure at 6:30 PM from Bradley International Airport.
In addition to offering an easy gateway to the San Francisco Bay Area, the service will enhance connectivity to destinations throughout the western United States, Asia, and Oceania via United’s San Francisco hub.
“We are thrilled that United Airlines is strengthening its presence at Bradley International Airport with the addition of year-round nonstop service to San Francisco,” said Michael W. Shea, Executive Director & CEO of the CAA. “This flight connects our community with an important business and leisure destination while providing travelers with greater convenience and expanded access to the West Coast and destinations across the globe. We thank United for its continued partnership and investment in Bradley International Airport.”
The new route underscores United’s commitment to Bradley International Airport, with the airline now connecting the region to five of its eight U.S. hubs.
“We’re excited to grow our network from Hartford with new daily service to San Francisco, providing Connecticut travelers with convenient service to the West Coast,” said Mark Weithofer, Managing Director of Domestic Network Planning at United. “This new service strengthens our commitment to the region, offering customers greater choice and seamless connections across our global network from San Francisco.”
The addition of San Francisco service follows United’s introduction of nonstop service to Houston (IAH) earlier this year. United also offers nonstop flights from Bradley International Airport to Chicago (ORD), Denver (DEN), and Washington, DC (IAD). Last year, the airline served nearly 725,000 passengers at Bradley International Airport.
San Francisco becomes the latest addition to Bradley International Airport’s growing route network, offering passengers more nonstop travel options, while reinforcing the airport’s reputation as a more convenient alternative to larger metropolitan airports.
