Harris Beach Murtha Adds Consoli Bortolan Law Group, Deepens Commercial Real Estate Bench
Addition of 4 Attorneys and 2 Paralegals Expands Capabilities in Connecticut and Across the Northeast; Marks Latest Milestone in Harris Beach Murtha’s Strategic Growth Efforts
(Aug. 31, 2026) — Harris Beach Murtha announced today that Consoli Bortolan Law Group, LLC, a premier Hartford-based commercial real estate boutique, will join the firm, significantly expanding its commercial real estate capabilities in Connecticut and reinforcing bench strength across the Northeast.
Founding partners Scott P. Consoli and Lynn Bortolan will join Harris Beach Murtha, along with associates Jeffrey D. Lounsbury and Ryan D. Humphrey and paralegals Cristhian A. Monroy and Matthew D. Campo. The team will remain based in Hartford, operating from Harris Beach Murtha’s existing office.
Over more than three decades, Consoli and Bortolan have built one of Connecticut’s most respected commercial real estate practices, representing developers, institutional investors, lenders and property owners in acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, development and zoning matters.
The addition bolsters Harris Beach Murtha’s well-established presence in the Hartford commercial real estate market while creating substantial expansion opportunities across the firm’s platform. Consoli Bortolan’s developer and institutional clients are expected to benefit from Harris Beach Murtha’s broad set of services, spanning areas such as litigation, trusts and estates, land use, securities, corporate and tax, while the firm’s public finance and economic development practice will gain a strengthened entry point into Connecticut’s developer-driven transaction market.

Consoli Bortolan’s practice spans sales and acquisitions, commercial leasing, construction and permanent financing, development, and tax credit financing and C-PACE financing, with particular strength in projects involving public and quasi-governmental stakeholders such as the Capital Region Development Authority and the City of Hartford. The firm has represented clients on Hartford-area housing and mixed-use developments, including the recent acquisition of the Stilts Building, 101 & 111 Pearl Street, 5 Constitution Plaza and Trumbull on the Park, and regularly negotiates leases for national retailers.
