Hartford Courant Names Hospital for Special Care A Winner of The Capital Region, Northeastern, Southeastern & Lower CT River Valley Planning Regions Top Workplaces 2025 Award
NEW BRITAIN, CT (September 24, 2025) – Hospital for Special Care (HFSC) has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2025 honor by Hartford Courant Top Workplaces. HFSC is one of fifty-nine companies to make this year’s list, based solely on the feedback of employees. This is the thirteenth year in a row HFSC has achieved this significant accomplishment.
“Winning the Top Workplaces 2025 regional award is a testament to our team's commitment to our mission and shared purpose” said Crista F. Durand, FACHE, HFSC President and CEO. “I am immensely proud of the culture we’ve created. Every activity we do comes back to a single goal: building a place where every member of our team feels heard, supported, and empowered to deliver the exceptional care our patients and families deserve.”
This list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage LLC. The confidential survey uniquely measures the employee experience and its component themes, including employees feeling Respected & Supported, Enabled to Grow, and Empowered to Execute, to name a few.
“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That's something to be proud of. In today's market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That's paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”
