Leadership Greater Hartford Welcomes CNN Hero Patricia Kelly for Next Leaders in Focus Event
Hartford, CT — Leadership Greater Hartford (LGH) is proud to announce the next installment of its Leaders in Focus series, featuring Patricia Kelly, Founder and CEO of Ebony Horsewomen, Inc., on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Ebony Horsewomen Equestrian and Therapeutic Center in Hartford.
Leaders in Focus is an exclusive speaker series that brings together influential leaders from across Greater Hartford to share their personal leadership journeys, lessons learned, and perspectives on creating meaningful change in our communities.
For more than four decades, Patricia Kelly has transformed lives through the healing power of horses. As the founder of Ebony Horsewomen, she has built one of the nation's first Black operated therapeutic riding centers, creating innovative programs that support youth, veterans, families, and individuals recovering from trauma. Her pioneering work has positioned Ebony Horsewomen as a nationally recognized organization dedicated to healing, education, and community development.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Hall of Fame inductee, and CNN Hero, Kelly has dedicated her career to empowering others through compassion, resilience, and purpose-driven leadership.
During this special Leaders in Focus conversation, Kelly will share insights on leadership, overcoming adversity, the importance of healing-centered communities, and what it means to create lasting impact through service. Following the discussion, attendees will enjoy an exclusive guided tour of Ebony Horsewomen's facility and gain a deeper understanding of the organization's remarkable work throughout the Greater Hartford region.
