NBC Connecticut Expands Local Community & Lifestyle Programming With ‘CT Live’ at 7:30 p.m.

Abbey Carnivale Hosts the New Weeknight Edition Beginning Sept. 14

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (Sept. 8, 2026) - NBC Connecticut / WVIT, part of NBCUniversal Local, will expand its locally produced community and lifestyle program CT Live into prime access beginning Monday, Sept. 14. CT Live will air Monday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m., in addition to its original 11:30 a.m. edition, giving viewers another opportunity to experience the people, places and stories that make Connecticut unique.

The new 7:30 p.m. edition launches on a marquee night for NBC, leading into the 78th Emmy Awards at 8 p.m. ET. The ceremony, hosted by Emmy Award-winning actor, director and producer Mariska Hargitay, will air live on NBC and stream on Peacock.

Hosted by Abbey Carnivale, CT Live brings an energetic, curious perspective to exploring Connecticut. From local restaurants and small businesses to entertainment, community organizations, events and hidden gems, the program connects viewers with experiences across the state while celebrating the people who call Connecticut home.

“We know our audience wants local content that is useful, engaging and relevant to their everyday lives,” said Katherine Clemens, Marketing and Creative Services Director, NBC and Telemundo Connecticut. “Adding more CT Live gives us another opportunity to deliver that while showcasing all there is to see, do and experience across Connecticut.”

The expansion reinforces NBC Connecticut’s commitment to original, locally produced content and its Connecting You mission of helping audiences stay connected to their communities. CT Live content also reaches audiences across NBC Connecticut’s digital and social platforms, streaming and the CT Live podcast, extending the conversation beyond the television broadcast.

Carnivale joined NBC Connecticut as host of CT Live in May 2025. A graduate of Ohio University’s Scripps School of Journalism, she began her career at ESPN in Bristol and later worked as an on-air journalist in New York’s Hudson Valley and at Western Mass News before returning to Connecticut.
