Power and Purpose 2026: A GPCT Energy Address

Why This Event Matters

At Generation Power CT, our mission is only possible because of the support of our community. While grants and program funding are vital, fundraising events like Power and Purpose play a critical role in sustaining and growing our work. They help us raise unrestricted funds that support emergency assistance programs, organizational operations, staff, and future initiatives while also increasing awareness of the challenges faced by Connecticut households experiencing energy insecurity.

Just as importantly, this event helps us build relationships with people who can become donors, sponsors, advocates, volunteers, board members, and long-term partners in our mission. Every conversation, connection, and dollar raised helps us create a stronger future for the families and communities we serve.

Events like Power and Purpose are not just Advancement Team events, they are Generation Power CT events, and their success depends on all of us.

Previous Success

Our inaugural 2025 Power and Purpose luncheon was a tremendous success and demonstrated the potential of this event as an annual platform for education, engagement, advocacy, and fundraising.

The event brought together more than 100 attendees, including donors, community partners, stakeholders, and supporters from across Connecticut. Together, we raised more than $26,000, including:

  • $23,000 in sponsorships

  • $1,950 in ticket sales

  • $1,265 in donations

Guests heard powerful stories, learned about GPCT's ongoing initiatives, and gained a deeper understanding of energy insecurity and energy equity throughout the state. The strong turnout, positive feedback, and meaningful conversations affirmed that Power and Purpose can become a signature event that advances awareness, engagement, and support for our mission.

Building upon that success, we are excited to grow the event in 2026 and expand its reach, impact, and fundraising potential.

Please reach out to the Advancement Team with any questions. Thank you for helping make Power and Purpose 2026 a success!

Together, we can help Connecticut families not just survive but thrive.
