Despite working from home, teaching online, and social distancing, nine faculty seized the opportunity to respond and help rather than sit, watch, and wait.

Region’s business community, existing Hartford Foundation donors and contributions from new donors have now added more than $3 million to the fund to rapidly deploy resources to support the residents who are most significantly affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

YWCA Hartford Region is seeking donations of non-perishable food items and other living essentials for residents of Soromundi Commons in Hartford, which includes an emergency shelter for women and permanent supportive housing. Funds Will Support the Y’s COVID-19 Efforts

In the spirit of enduring optimism and creativity, the Hartford Symphony Orchestra has announced that its 2020 Bravo! gala, IGNITE JOY, has been renamed REIMAGINE JOY, and will be celebrated virtually on May 2 at 7 pm. The virtual gala will feature music performed by HSO musicians and much more. All are welcome to this free online event.
