Chrysalis Center Farmers' Market Opens July 1st - Provides Access to Nutritious Food Options for North Hartford Residents
Chrysalis Center is pleased to announce its “Homestead Farmers’ Market” will open for the season on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. The market features fresh vegetables and lettuce grown from the organization’s hydroponics program, as well as local farmers.
Located on Chrysalis Center’s main campus at 255 Homestead Avenue in Hartford, the Homestead Farmers’ Market provides fresh local foods to families in the area’s most impoverished neighborhood. In addition to local produce, vegetables and herbs for sale, the market will feature freshly baked goods from Chrysalis Center’s culinary training kitchen, La Cocina, the organization’s commercial kitchen which offers hands-on training for clients.

Webster to recognize Juneteenth with early closing of branches, offices
All Webster banking centers and Webster offices, including its HSA Bank division, will close on Friday, June 19 at 1 p.m. in recognition of Juneteenth. “Webster remains committed to building a culture of diversity, inclusion and equity,” said Webster Chairman, CEO and President John Ciulla. “We want to go beyond simply standing in solidarity with the Black community by becoming more thoughtful and engaged with our actions that will help promote change.”
