Wheeler is offering a 10-week virtual course called TIPS-MAPP, Trauma-Informed Partnering for Safety and Permanence - Model Approach to Partnerships in Parenting, to prepare prospective foster parents and families for the role of fostering a child or youth. Classes run on Monday evenings from September 14 through November 16, 2020 at 6 pm–8 pm.

The Hartford Marathon Foundation (HMF) is encouraging the community to get outside and explore state parks in Connecticut and Rhode Island this August as part of the new Evergreen Adventure, presented by Webster Bank. The program features 20 parks to hike, walk or run, and kids 11 and under can enjoy the Wild With Miles scavenger hunt and parks passport.
