Chrysalis Center is pleased to announce its corporate sponsors for the 16th Annual Butterfly Bash which will be held virtually on Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event is the signature fundraising event for Chrysalis Center, raising much needed funds to advance the organization’s mission to provide supportive services to assist people in need to transform their lives. Capital Community College Changing Lives Virtual No Go Gala - Friday October 23, 2020, 6pm-7:30pm
The first "No-Go" Changing Lives Gala for Hartford's Community College will be held Friday, October 23, 2020 with a virtual program recognizing programs of study for health care heroes and honoring a group of inductees into the Alumni Wall of Fame.Since 2004 Changing Lives Galas have been a signature event for Capital Community College in support of scholarships and student success. Our in-person Gala at the Gershon Fox Ballroom has been cancelled because of the pandemic and the necessity of social distancing. The public health crisis, however, only magnifies the need to support resources for student success and to provide financial assistance for students facing hardships.

Hartford Foundation Announces More Than $380,000 Grants in Third Round of Phase Two Grants from COVID-19 Response Fund
The third round of Hartford Foundation's Phase Two of COVID-19 Response Fund grants totaling $384,652 supports 26 community-based organizations that provide a variety of critical services. Since its launch, the Fund has made more than 200 grants totaling $8,943,839 to nonprofits. The Foundation has committed a total of $10.5 million to the Fund and encourages Greater Hartford nonprofits in need of support for re-opening costs over a six-month period to apply.
