Easterseals Veterans Rally Point launches build out of $2.5M state of the art Veterans services center
WINDSOR, CT, November 11, 2020 –Easterseals Capital Region & Eastern CT has appointed Enterprise Builders to serve as the organization’s design and build firm for the $2.5M build out of Easterseals Veterans Rally Point at its Norwich, CT facility.
Driven by a significant grant from the CT State Bond Commission, the design and build out of Veterans Rally Point expands Easterseals services for Veterans and positions Easterseals as a vital resource for serving all CT Veterans. “This 18,000 square foot one stop service center for Veterans, Service Members and their families will meet the growing needs of all CT Veterans to ensure that Veterans have support and can live their best life,” said, Ron Welch BG, US Army Ret, Vice President of Military Services for Easterseals.
Hartford Foundation Announces $2.5 million Initiative to Empower Greater Hartford’s Black and Latinx Communities
Hartford Foundation for Public Giving to establish two, $1 million grants in the name of The Prosperity Foundation, a Black-led philanthropic organization, and The Hispanic Federation – Connecticut, a Latinx-led organization. In addition, the Hartford Foundation is establishing two five-year, $250,000 flex-funds to support the Foundation’s own key stakeholders of color through its Latino Endowment Fund and Black Giving Circle Fund. These efforts will create more equitable opportunity, economic mobility and social capital for Greater Hartford’s Black and Latinx communities.
