American Eagle Financial Credit Union Announces New Location of East Hartford Branch
Continuing its 85-year history as a committed East Hartford neighbor, American Eagle Financial Credit Union (AEFCU) announces the new location of its East Hartford branch at 361 Main Street.
The 3,500-square-foot branch is located just one block away from its previous site at 417 Main Street, and is now part of a new 25,000-square-foot complex owned by Goodwin University at the intersection of Main and Ensign streets.
AEFCU’s new East Hartford branch opened on December 14.

Hartford Foundation Announces More Than $345,000 in Grants in Fourth Round of Phase Two Grants from COVID-19 Response Fund
A total of $345,303 in grants comprise the fourth round of Phase Two of the COVID-19 Response Fund and have been awarded to 24 community-based organizations that provide critical services. To date, the Fund has awarded a total of $9,272,592 across the Hartford region. Grant awards support re-opening costs that nonprofits expect to incur over a six-month grant period and must be in alignment with state and federal public health guidelines for safely re-opening facilities. The grants will cover the cost of personal protective equipment (PPE), cleaning, small COVID-related infrastructure accommodations, technology to support virtual services and/or remote staff, staff health screenings and other needs.
