Connecticut Convention and Sports Bureau’s Hospitality Heroes Recognition” Announces Its First Group Of Honorees

Despite financial and health challenges, numerous Connecticut businesses and organizations have taken actions to move forward in safe and inspirational ways. That is why the “Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau’s Hospitality Heroes Recognition” was established. The new recognition program highlights hospitality industry members for their innovative business initiatives and community support over the past difficult year. This week, CTCSB announced its first group of honorees: the Connecticut Event Industry Coalition; Max Cares Foundation; Mohegan Sun; and the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale.

The HSO Spotlight Series is a brand-new way to experience the HSO – and this month, we put the spotlight on our percussion section!Each month, we will premiere 60-minute performances by HSO ensembles and guests recorded at exciting venues in and around Hartford, and available on-demand for a limited time. The third concert in the HSO Spotlight Series was filmed at Hartford Stage and will be available on-demand February 19-March 14, 2021.

Join the Hartford Symphony Orchestra March 12-17 for Masterworks In-Depth with Carolyn Kuan – a deep dive into the classical works originally programmed for the March performances of the 2020-2021 HSO Masterworks season, hosted by HSO Music Director Carolyn Kuan.

Joining Carolyn are special guests HSO cellist Peter Zay and HSO violinist Lu Sun Friedman. Carolyn and her guests will focus on Beethoven Symphony No. 7, originally part of the March Masterworks program.
