CT State Capital Announces Changing Lives Gala to Support Student Success

September 9, 2025 | Hartford, Conn. — CT State Capital is proud to present its annual Changing Lives Gala, a premier fundraising event dedicated to advancing student success and strengthening Connecticut’s future workforce. This year’s celebration moves to a new and distinguished venue—the historic Bond Ballroom—where business and community leaders will gather for an evening of recognition, inspiration, and lasting impact.

In addition to raising critical funds for scholarships and student support, the Changing Lives Gala also celebrates excellence through the prestigious Alumni Hall of Fame Awards. Each year, three distinguished CT State Capital alumni are honored for their remarkable achievements and lasting contributions in the areas of professional excellence, service to the College or Foundation, and leadership in public and community life:

  • Outstanding Career & Professional Achievements

  • Service to the College or Capital Foundation (past or present)

  • Leadership, Public, and Community Service

The call for nominations for the 2025–26 Alumni Hall of Fame is now open. Nominations must be submitted by September 19, 2025. Eligible nominees include alumni from CT State Capital, Greater Hartford Community College, and Hartford State Technical College who have completed a minimum of two semesters (24 credit hours). All alumni are encouraged to apply, including graduates of associate degree, certificate, and workforce studies programs.
