The Village Named a Top Workplace in the Country for Second Year in a Row!

Back‑to‑back national honor coincides with six consecutive years as a CT Top Workplace

Hartford, Conn. (April 14, 2026) The Village for Families & Children (The Village) has earned a 2026 USA TODAY Top Workplaces award, marking the second consecutive year it has received national recognition as a Top Workplace.

This national honor builds on The Village’s six‑year streak as a Connecticut Top Workplace as well as its designation as a leading workplace in the nation’s nonprofit sector for four consecutive years.

With its 2026 Top Workplaces USA recognition, The Village was specifically honored for its purpose and values, collaborative culture across departments, commitment to employee well‑being, transparent communication and efficient, mission‑driven practices.

“Being recognized as a Top Workplace across the entire nation is a tremendous honor,” said Village President & CEO Hector Glynn. “Our impact as a non-profit is only possible because of the tireless efforts of our dedicated and hardworking staff. It means a great deal that this recognition comes directly from our team.”

The awards are based on anonymous employee surveys through Energage that examine how employees feel their organization works together toward a common cause, as well as the company’s values, encouragement of new ideas, learning and development opportunities and commitment to diversity and equity efforts.

This year, just 18 organizations and businesses in Connecticut earned the Top Workplace USA distinction. The 18 companies are among 1,661 employers recognized nationwide.
